Unusual Pairing Month: Kon/Mary

Hey there, first post here for me, though I've lurked for a while. I have a little art for the unusual pairing challenge: Kon/Mary Marvel.





I like to imagine that she'd do all the normal childhood things with Kon that he never got to do, like watch Disney movies and play board games and go to the zoo and amusement parks. Kon would pretend that they're lame but secretly love it, and she would see right through him, and he would totally cry like a little girl at Lilo and Stitch.

And he could give Mary that jacket from his second costume that he never actually wore.

I've never seen anyone else do this pairing, but I've played with it before, if you're interested:

Hm, that might be worth looking into. I tend to be kind of meh about art exchanges, because--I could just draw the art myself, and then it would be exactly what I wanted. But if I could get fic in exchange.... fic is something I can't really make for myself.

Yep, that's the gist of it! Artists request fic and offer art, and vice versa. :)

We have a few people asking for fic and offering fic, but mostly the goal is to match writers and artists.

I hope you have fun with it! It's kinda quiet, but the more members the better.

She's a minor DC character. I only really know her from the Superbuddies series, but in that she was this super-sweet, innocent, perky little 16-year-old Polyanna character, and she was hilariously adorable. And since Kon is also hilariously adorable, it seemed like a god fit.

Fuzzy feelings pretty much sums it up, though ♥

This is more or less the way Mary's costume was drawn in "Formerly Known as the Justice League" and "I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League," but when I was searching online for good reference (because I was too lazy to go find my trades, how sad is that) I kept finding pictures of her in these... startlingly skimpy versions of that red costume. So yeah, I'm kind of with you there, I wish DC would draw her like this more. Scanitly-clad Mary = Do Not Want 0_o
